Adit and Kevin co-founded Breakthrough in early 2024. Our journey began with a fundamental question: Can AI truly sell? Instead of focusing on automating sales processes, we zeroed in on the heart of selling - the pitch. A great pitch isn’t just about delivering information; it requires a deep understanding of your value proposition, thorough prospect research, and authentic communication that builds trust.
When assessing the market, we talked to more than 600 sales reps, across companies big and small in both the US and EMEA, to see how they use AI tools today. Every one of them was using consumer grade tools like ChatGPT to help them prepare for meeting, draft sales material and write emails.
And they were doing this despite the obvious shortcomings of these tools - lack of integration with proprietary data, insufficient account context and personalization, limited strategic guidance, repetitive and arduous to get high quality output.
When we asked them about alternatives tools provided by their CRM vendor they told us they were unimpressed and that the data in the CRM was not of high quality. When we asked about other new AI tools, they felt most were focusing on process automation and on SDRs, not on what they care the most about - landing their pitch.
Our platform is addressing the insights we gained and the shortcomings we witnessed. By continuously learning from customer interactions we refine all elements of how businesses communicate their value.
Rather than just automating sales, Breakthrough creates the most precise, current and effective messaging model at an enterprise level. We believe this “source of truth” for sales messaging is the true secret sauce that will guide sales reps on the most optimal path to closing their deals.
